Villa Vino BRIMS & BONDS Galentines Event – Romantic partners get plenty of love when it comes to Valentine’s Day, but the bonds of friendship are no less deserving of adoration. Brims & Bonds comes to Villa Vino for a one-day-only evening of fun, stylish headwear, and of course—really good wine! Come down to Villa Vino on Friday, February 13 from 5pm to 8pm, pick out a hat just for you (or a friend), and hunt for the perfect set of patches to commemorate the occasion with a unique wearable you’ll never forget.
Provisions Special Valentine’s Day Menu – Whether you’re out with the girls or looking to kickstart an unforgettable night of romance, Provisions offers a limited edition menu of sumptuous selections certain to light your fire on Valentine’s Day. At $45 per person for a perfect three-course meal, choose from a delectable variety of options such as pan-seared Atlantic salmon, mushroom parmesan buscatini, and limoncello mascarpone cake.
Union Restaurant Stage feat. The Sun Followers – While Union boasts an incredible variety of rich food and spirits, the Union Stage plays host to excellent musicians year round. On Friday, February 13, grab a hot plate and a cold pint while you enjoy the beautiful songwriting of The Sun Followers, a newlywed musical combo that’s sure to bring a romantic atmosphere to your weekend. On Valentine’s Day itself, you can come back for more music and great food from Union’s special Valentine’s Day menu—two-course and four-course options available!
Anna Olsen Watercolor Class at Brushstrokes – For a perfect couples activity, come to Brushstrokes for a watercolor class that’s open to everyone—no experience required! Materials will be provided and you’ll get the chance to expand your artistic horizons while spending the morning with someone you love. From 10am to 1pm, Saturday, February 14. Valentine’s Day Tea and Play – The Reluctant Debutante – Once you’ve had the chance to explore the many splendors of Downtown Oroville, come to the beautiful historic Ehmann Home for a one-of-a-kind theatre experience you won’t want to miss. The event begins with a full English tea service including teas, scones, preserves, and a smorgasbord of lovely tea sandwiches and desserts. Afterward, ticketholders will take a short stroll to the Birdcage Theatre to watch William Douglas-Home’s classic British comedy, The Reluctant Debutante. Raquel and Wes Holmstrom direct a Birdcage Theatre production of what is described as a show “packed with witty banter, social blunders, and charming chaos.” Lift your spirits as the Broadbents introduce their daughter Jane to high society, where everything immediately—and inevitably—goes awry. Tea begins at 12pm on Saturday, February 14, with tickets at $55 per person.
The Notebook at Oroville State Theater – If your Valentine’s Day plans need a classic romantic movie to make sure love is in the air, then take your sweetheart to see The Notebook, based on the beloved Nicolas Sparks novel, at the beautifully restored Oroville State Theater. Tickets are only $5!
Tea Blending Workshop – Tea & Chocolate Pairing – A perfect couples activity, come to the beautiful, historic Lott Home and sample four different kinds of chocolate, then learn to blend perfect tea pairings to go with each one. You can even take home a tin of your own tea afterward! Tickets start at $38 per person.
