Kevin Marcy & Stringtown Road at Downtown Oroville’s State Theater
Friday, April 17, 2026 – 7:00pm – doors open at 6:30pm
Oroville State Theater – $25 per ticket
Come see the former lead singer of the Marcy Brothers, an American country music trio formed in Oroville in 1983 that released two beloved albums which charted six singles on the Billboard country charts. In a fundraiser benefitting Oroville High School Safe Grad Night 2026, Kevin will be joined by Brett, Glenn, Guy, and Dwain of Stringtown Road, another Oroville musical original. Come down to Downtown Oroville’s iconic State Theater for a night of music you won’t soon forget.
Forge Your Confidence at Cultivate Power Fighting Arts’s Personal Safety Workshop
Saturday, April 18, 2026 – 12:00pm to 2:00pm
Cultivate Power Fighting Arts – free
This event (for ages 14+) is a beginner-friendly open house where everyone from teens and adults can learn basic safety skills from some of Oroville’s top instructors in self-defense and martial arts. No experience necessary!
This event supports Oroville Youth Forge, a nonprofit offering martial arts training scholarships for local youth. Donations are welcome, but the event is entirely free. Try it out, and if it speaks to you, donate to help a kid from our community find their own inner strength.

The Kelly Twins Dueling Pianos in Downtown Oroville

This charming afternoon tea benefits the Oroville Historical Preservation Council, offering a tea service, stories behind the Inn and efforts to preserve it, and finally a presentation by distinguished guest speaker Jon Haeber, Director of the California Preservation Foundation.
Buster Keaton Double Feature with Live Wurlitzer Organ

Celebrate nearly a century of Oroville history at Downtown Oroville’s Historic State Theater! This event is an unforgettable Buster Keaton double feature of beloved 1920’s silent comedies Seven Chances and Cops! Both films will feature live accompaniment on the theater’s Wurlitzer organ by the legendary Dave Moreno.
Don’t miss one of Buster Keaton’s best-known stunts in the rock avalanche of 1925’s Seven Chances, where Jimmie Shannon (Keaton) will inherit seven million dollars—but only if he’s married by 7:00pm on his 27th birthday. Then follow him into Los Angeles circa 1922 as he gets into trouble with the LAPD during a police parade.

This play dramatizes the famous Judges’ Trial of 1947, highlighting the prosecution of German legal officials serving under the Nazi regime as they were tried for their participation in crimes against humanity. Come to Downtown Oroville venerable Birdcage Theatre and witness a verdict that will ring throughout history.
